At the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year, The Troy School District joined in partnership with 27 school districts in Oakland County and Oakland Schools to develop the Early Truancy Intervention Protocol which promotes regular attendance. The protocol was developed to improve a student’s attendance through a school/student/parent partnership. The new system tracks both absences and tardies. Our attendance system automatically generates letters regardless of the reason for the absence/tardy. These letters will be mailed directly home.
